NYT Recipe — Spread Design

I reimagined a New York Times Eat section recipe layout with a more expressive, playful approach. The opening spread features typography that mimics spaghetti strands over a bold orange backdrop, evoking the feel of marinara sauce. A carefully selected typeface balances thin, noodle-like strokes with thicker elements, reflecting both the simplicity and richness of the recipe.

I tackled redesigning a recipe layout from the NYTimes Eat section, aiming for a more expressive approach. Focusing on the article “Late Summer Tomatoes are Perfect for Spaghetti al Pomodoro,” I delved into creating layouts harmonizing with its content and images.
